Hi Tracy, I have been very fortunate and blessed to get to know several MM patients, one at the very beginning. He had just completed the Stem Cell trans. and was in the maintenance therapy. The nurses at the chemo center scheduled us at the same time, God bless them as they new what they were doing. I encouraged him because of being a survivor and he I in helping me understand MM, he gave me hope and restored my faith, as for now he is clean.

Then while they were collecting stem cells we stayed at hope lodge in Hershey, two other guys were having collection for MM treatment, so we got to talk. Most importantly one day an older man(angle) came in and we sat and talked. He was 4 years out from a transplant, late 70's and was there to clean the lodge, he still ran a cleaning company. Told me about eating ice while chemo was going in, I did not have one mouth sore! and am doing great...

thanks Rodney
